Christian Aid in Jersey
How can I learn more?
Start by reading two papers prepared for the 2003 January Conference of staff and volunteers:
- Introducing Christian Aid
- Christian Aid as a voluntary movement
Other written materials can be obtained locally:
- Try the collector's magazine. A lot of work goes into writing this each year and it is perhaps the best introduction to what are Christian Aid's beliefs, where the money goes, etc.
- Or ask for a copy of the Christian Aid magazine, with news stories from around the world. This gives a good overall idea of the concerns and the work of Christian Aid world-wide and the way in which Christian Aid operates.
- "Towards a new earth" is the official statement of purpose of Christian Aid. This is short but a good solid read: it's all there what Christian Aid believes, why, and where we are trying to go.
- The "worship and study guide" shows how the beliefs of Christian Aid work out in a specific campaign (trade justice) and how the campaign relates to Christian belief.
- For more detailed information about any aspect of Christian Aid - the underlying philosophy, the worship materials, the campaigns, the resources available, try the address below, or go to the Christian Aid website.
- Join a study group about Christian Aid, development issues, trade justice.
